FAQs

Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions about Alder House and our glassblowing experience. We hope we’ve answered any questions you might have to better plan your visit, but if we missed anything, please feel free to email us, or call, at (541) 996-2483.

Where is the Alder House located?

We’re conveniently located just minutes off the Oregon Coast Highway at
611 Immonen Road,Lincoln City, OR, 97367.

Is the studio open today? What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 10 ‘til 5 daily, from the first of May until the end of October.

How much does visiting the Alder House cost?

Absolutely nothing, so bring the whole family!

Are pets allowed?

All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

Are cameras allowed?

Photography is welcome. You’ll be tempted to get real close for some shots, so while we can’t allow you to get too close (for safety reasons), a zoom lens might come in handy. Don’t forget to upload your pictures and tag us on social media @Alderhouseglassblowing.

What kind of work does your studio specialize in?

Anything from paper weights, to bowls, to vases, lamps, etc. Custom orders are welcome!

Do you guys do the "blow-your-own" thing other local studios do?

The short answer, NO.

However, something we do offer that most studios don’t is the opportunity for you to customize a piece of glass of your own. Pick out a design, its colors, and sit back and watch one of our master artists bring it to life!

If I choose to have one of your artists blow a customized piece, can I bring it home with me the same day?

We would love to send you off with your wonderful new piece of art, but unfortunately, this is not possible. See, each piece must be allowed to cool gradually overnight to avoid any cracks and structural deficiencies. Custom blown pieces are usually available for pickup the following day.

Do you guys have an onsite inventory of glass pieces?

We sure do! Whether you’re looking for glass floats, witch balls, vases, light pendants or any other kind of glass ornament, chances are you’ll find something you love. Check out our Gallery page to see examples of our work.
